The camp focuses on investigating real-world cyber mysteries through scientific inquiry while campers explore computer science concepts and develop technology, engineering, mathematics and digital literacy skills. Campers also will learn about careers in digital forensic science and cybersecurity.

Core Element Junior STEM Camp

The camp helps children explore robotics, computer programming and electronics, use LEGO WEDO to build working models with motors and sensors and littleBits electronic building blocks to learn about creative design, electronics and circuits.

Core Element — Out of This World ASTRO CAMP

NASA’s ASTRO CAMP teaches campers the basics of engineering, rocketry and more. Children learn about space explorations through hands-on activities and are introduced to NASA STEM careers.

Campers use web-based technologies to design, program and launch web games with graphics and sound effects, develop algorithms to define game rules and deploy the games onto the internet.

Girls Who Code Camp

Ages: Sixth- through ninth-graders, girls

Dates: June 10-14

Cost: N/A

At the weeklong camp, girls learn about STEM and its related careers.

Loyola High School Summer Design Camp

Dates: June 3-14

Cost: $425 one week, $750 two weeks (before April 1); $500 one week, $825 two weeks (after April 1)

Campers choose graphic or interactive design and explore various aspects of their chosen fields. Participants learn about Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects.

Mission Possible! Introduction to EV3 Robotics
