Amazon Prime Day is approaching on Monday, July 15, and traditional brick-and-mortar retailers are scrambling in order to try to come up with details to match the shopping supergiant. One of those is Best Buy, the last bastion of major electronics stores in the United States, and they have some pretty good deals in my areas of expertise—TVs and video games. In that I watch a lot of TV and play a lot of video games.
Here are the top pre-Prime Day deals on TV and video games from Best Buy:
I have a 65-inch 4K television as my main TV in my downstairs family room, and I would not recommend anything smaller than that for such a large space. If you’ve needed to make the upgrade to 4K for a while now, I would absolutely recommend that you pick this up this set. On sale for $699 (or $200 off ) this is about as inexpensive as a big, quality 4K TV has ever been.
If you’re like me, you have been needing to upgrade your gaming headset for a while now, and the time is ripe to pick up a high-end Turtle Beach model. This is one of the better gaming headsets on the market and is currently on sale for $119, that’s $30 off original price.
This set is the same size as the Samsung TV mentioned above, but the difference here is that this LG is OLED, a much higher visual fidelity set-up which is why there’s a $2,000 price bump. This set is now on sale for $2,799, or $700 off, so if you want to aim high, this is probably the most heavily discounted OLED out there right now.
Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t come out until next year, but you can pre-order it now. The game is now on sale with a $10 rewards credit for a $60 purchase and a free $20 case. And that credit can be used toward another purchase, which is essentially $10 off on this one.
